Macmillan provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.

Marie Curie Cancer Care

Marie Curie Cancer Care is a UK charity dedicated to the care of people with terminal cancer and other illnesses. Over the financial year 2010/11, we reached a total of 31,799 patients

Youth Health Talk

YouthHealthTalk
Youthhealthtalk enables young people, their family and friends, and professionals such as doctors and teachers to understand young people's experiences of health, illness and life in general. The website feature real-life accounts of issues such as effect on work and education, social life and relationships, consulting health professionals and treatment.

Community Nurses

Patients who are confined to their homes and need nursing assistance may arrange with their doctor for the District nurse to call or she may be contacted in person by phone on 355 2180.  You will be asked to leave your details and the DN will contact you.

If necessary the hospital should arrange for one of our district nurses to call on any of our patients discharged from hospital who still require nursing care.

Health Visitors

 

Victoria offers health advice and support mainly to families with young children. This includes help with parenting and behaviour management and also support to women with post natal depression. Victoria sees children for development checks.  At other times she is available for home visits as necessary. Please telephone her on 0141 207 9518, if she is not immediately available a message may be left on her answering machine.
